Akbuk is a township since 1991, has carried on develop due to careful planning and has got an amazing bay where you can listen the silence and watch the sunset. Only 20 mins driving from Altinkum.You can do trip to Altinkum by dolmus as well, dolmus comes in every 10 mins, But also there are lots of shops, bars, restaurants and absolutely an amazing beach. Akbuk is now more related to tourism with local fishermen using their boats for trips around Akbuk bay during the summer months. During your visit to Akbuk, the Chapel on the coast line close to town centre is very well preserved and is open to the general public which yo can join and catch delicious Aegean sea bass. There are one 5 star , one 4 star and many smaller hotels and apartments available for accomadation. Akbuk offers a charm and a feel of real Turkish living, a beautiful turquoise Blue Bay is fast becoming a hot spot for British buyers. There are doctors, dentists, schools and a bus station with regular services going to all of the neighbouring towns including Altinkum, Soke, Kusadasi and Bodrum.Airport can be accessed via a beautiful scenic road winding through the mountains or if preferred via the traditional route passing lake Bafa. Both routes taking approximately 1 hour. Akbuk is recently growing into an elite tourist resort with its holiday complexes as well as summer houses, villas, harbour, beach and hotels. Akbuk has been explored by tour operators in recent years, a little different in comparison to resorts like Altinkum, Kusadasi and Bodrum, its just a place you can enjoy the sun, away from noise and stress basically just relax.
