I am always in search of new experiences and the opportunity to learn and grow as a person. I have a happy disposition, love to meet new people, discuss topics with intelligent and thoughtful people, and learn about cultures 'in situ' rather than from books. I am a human resources professional completing my master's degree in ancient Greek literature, philosophy and culture. It would be great to meet/talk with people who have similar interests: ancient Greek philosophy, literature and culture; Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Hittite cultures; tolerance, understanding and acceptance between the Abrahamic religions of Christianity, Islam, and Judiasm; photography; performing arts; needlearts (knitting, quilting); or any other topic of interest to those with whom I am communicating as I love to learn new things. In keeping with the information provided above, it is my desire to make a break from my good and successful life in the US to live in Europe - Turkey (Istanbul), Greece, or So. Italy in particular. I have lived in Germany before. Not only would it be a wonderful adventure, I would be able to meet new people, experience a new culture, and become a more broad-minded person. My Turkish, Italian and German are extremely poor now; I speak no Greek whatsoever, but am always willing to learn. My motto: 'Life is short; eat dessert first!' which is to say I want to get as much out of life as I possibly can by experience and will seek out all opportunities available to me. Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero! (Sieze the day; put no trust in the morrow!) - Horace, Odes
